VESSELS

The contemporary art glass designs created by Don Gonzalez at Echo Beach Glass illustrate the inherent visual properties of glass: the translucent and reflective qualities of the material are primary design elements in the vessels.  Partial dips and gathers of glass during the glassblowing process create varying thicknesses of glass as the form is developed.  These  changes in glass thickness bring reflections of light and elements from the surrounding environment into the vessels imparting a kinetic element to the design.
